I figured it was time to start a Genzler club for all of us on here who are rocking these excellent amps and cabs made by our own Talkbasser, and all around great guy, Jeff Genzler.

If you would like to discuss your Genzler gear, post a picture of your gear, and I'll give you a number.

I'll start us off here by posting my brand new stack of Genzler Bass Array 12-3 cabinets.

They sound absolutely monstrous with the GK head I'm currently renting, and they will be joined very soon by a Magellan 800 head!

What GK head if you don't mind me asking?

It's a MB500. I was using a Genz Benz Shuttle with a pair of Mesa cabs for the past 8 years, but when I got the Bass Arrays I knew I needed to upgrade the head so I sold the whole rig, and I'm waiting on a Magellan.

One thing I noticed with the GK is that it has a tendency to, I guess over heat or get over stressed when you push a hot signal into it, and it will actually shut itself down entirely for about 30 seconds at a time.

I've never seen anything quite it before, but it happened about 5 times at my last jam until I turned the boost channel way down.

Looking forward to becoming a member, but not there yet. For what it's worth, my practice space resembles a Genz Benz retail store, if there ever had been such a thing. I didn't quite buy one of everything, but I came close. That includes the Shenendoah amps for acoustic playing, which are *really* nice amps.

Aw,what the hey. I'll sign up. The cab is great, only rehearsing with it so far. Coffee house in April and this will be overkill for the gig but I'll be bringing it anyway!
