Getting back into bass after 1/2 century

The last time I owned a bass was in the 70s when I was gigging my 67 EB3( gone by 80) and I got the urge again last summer. In the last 9 months I have acquired another EB3, a Hofner ignition 500/1 and a Squier affinity PJ (all new) and a rumble 100 for home thumping. Playing guitar since the 60s, I had a massive stroke on Christmas eve 2019 which turned my left hand stupid. I decided to pick up bass again to help get my hand back along with playing guitar but the bass is a lot easier to relearn. the Rumble is a bit much for my apartment but I could not see going any smaller, 100w minimum for bass in my mind.My fave to play is the Hofner, as bad as my hand is it isnt hard to keep up with a 63~66 McCartney bass line my fave sound is the PJ by far and the EB3 is just so familiar to me from experience. Just a 2nd time beginner @ 68.

Welcome to TalkBass, @LPBlue!

You should go to the TalkBass Fender Rumble Club and introduce your 100 to them there to find out how to get the most out of it.

You might also go to the Gibson Basses Club, and/or the Hofner (not just Beatle basses) Group, and/or the Squier Affinity Club to discuss your basses.

You can also browse through the TalkBass Clubs and Special Interest Groups INDEX wiki page for links to other groups you might be interested in.

Welcome, again.
