Does anyone know what is the original switch used in this bass?
Mine is 2000 model. Many, many years ago I replaced the original on/off toggle switch with a 500K pot which made the instrument much more useful to me.
Even though it's one of the best playing basses I've ever touched, I've never really used it much (just an awkward style of bass for me wield as a vocalist) and am thinking about selling or trading it.
I have long since misplaced the switch and would like to restore it to original, but this is not a common switch. I believe it was Switchcraft. But quite a few 2-position Switchcraft switches I've found are too long. (The Blackbird has a very thin body and shallow electronics cavity) I've found a couple I think may work also , but I'd rather go back with the actual correct, stock part# if anyone happens to know what that might be
