Just got a 2012 thunderbird bass. Nice but is it normal that the bridge doesn’t touch the bass body.

Three point bridge? Yes it’s normal.

Thank you for the responses. I’ll play it for a while then probably go for a replacement if needed.

At some point Gibson changed the angle of pitch for the neck, I don't recall what year that was, sometime post 2000 IIRC, older re issue Birds have far less pitch like my '89. As mentioned there are after market bridges out there, personally I've never felt the need for one any of my Thunderbirds.
