Hey folks! If there's anyone who lives in or around Ventura, or if you're looking to get out of LA for the day, I'll be playing a concert with one of my groups at the Winery of Ventura (aka Squashed Grapes) on October 6th from 1pm-4pm. This is a recently opened venue that is part of the expansion of Squashed Grapes. Around January 2020 it looks like they will be opening up their full-time jazz club, so keep your eyes peeled for that! But anyway this is a really amazing group of musicians I'm honored to be able to play with. The band features Nick Stahl on tenor, Will Kjeer on piano, Anthony Ty Johnson on drums, and myself on bass. They're all burning players who have been making some serious noise in LA. We're going to be playing a bunch of our compositions along with standards old and new. There's no cover and it's open to people of all ages. Come and enjoy amazing music and some pretty tasty wine if you're around!
