We played at a new venue for us and had a great time and sounded really good. My question is, first time being blasted by a fog machine, it covered everything to the point I couldn't even see the fretboard for a couple of seconds. I used my MIC Warwick Streamer, which I believe is a normal satin finish.. do I just use a damp cloth to clean my bass & strings? Thanks

Hi,

That looks like a cool little place to make some noise. Thanks for the pix!

I have been known to spray some Lemon Pledge on a cloth and use it to clean my axe. Then the strings get wiped off with a spot of alcohol applied to a cloth, or use one of those little alcohol wipes in the packet if you have them.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Hehe, first real show I played (drums) 30 seconds into the first song they blasted the fog machine to where I couldn't see past the bass drum. Couldn't see the other 2 guys at all. It cleared pretty quick, but WHAT THE HECK. I have it on VHS somewhere.

My reaction ...

1 - I hate to see guitar players use a bigger amp then the bass player
2 - if you are worrying about damaging your Warwick ... then play a cheap bass at the bar gigs ... try a 5 string

better a fog machine then a bubble machine.

We actually played a venue called Somewhere else Tavern in Greensboro, NC that had bubble machines lol wasn't like that though it was just like regular type of bubbles kids play with but they had a few machines hanging in the air. Think that venue is still open. Super small but had a cool vibe.
