Gig report. This one is for @BassCliff

I do not take pics of my gigs, my work, my sessions or personal life. I am rarely comfortable taking pics of other folks in public and certainly never of my food! LOL. But…my good buddy Arnie was in Austin TX and needed a support for a 25 song set for Amanda Kate. So for @BassCliff , in spirit... and a labor of brotherly bass love as a one time gesture…apologies to the king of gig pics, here are a few poor pics and message from the band from me. And even a dismal shot of left over fast food that I did not partake in!

The highlight you really missed out on was direct Texas sun, 90 degree fretboard burning up... ;). Lot of good folks wish you were still closer. #appreciateyou

It was too hot not to wear a cap..but I went with Rush 2112 and matching 1977' vintage Pegasus RUSH belt buckle...

all good stuff, @Bonafide --- takes me back to cliff's posts for sure! loved the pics and video, and of course it was great to see a few of the folks that cliff helped to make famous around here.

but you looked the part (and i'm sure you played the parts!) so my hat is off to you! well done! thanks for sharing your gig experience!

Thanks JRA! Helping out friends, easy fun hang, great humans, good music. Texas springtime. Pretty chill way to spend a weekend!

Well IMO you did a great job of getting/posting photos to commemorate the gig. I also never take food shots even on the few occasions we do eat before a gig.

Well done, looks like a fun gig. Thanks for sharing!

Nobody wants to see what I eat.

Outstanding, sir! Simply outstanding...
Cheers!

Looks like a good gig!
Yeah man, good tunes, good folks.

Awesome! Well done and good job! I love Texas ,my home state. Gigged where i can and mostly here since i was 14 and now 69. My first music love is The Beatles but ive made much more money playing country. :)
Cheers Gary! The Texas circuit, pre-pandemic used to be such a cool thing. You could tour playing country for a month and never leave the state or repeat a gig. Alot of good times here.

Guessing by the outfits y'all play glam death metal rap fusion?
Nailed it

you even got the "freeway traffic" pic. epic.
LOL, cheers. Austin rivals LA traffic, easily. I think 1/2 the drivers are from California by now. I use toll roads when possible. I keep the TXtag on my truck, keeps the stress down.

Great report Bonafide! How did the show go? Did you do some Amanda Kate originals?
Didn't I see that she is based in Texas or at least frequently here?
Thanks, it was great. Yeah, about 45 mins of originals, 45 mins of covers. It was a fun set, good songs.

Looks like you had a blast! Glad to see Arnie playing in Texas - now that he's moved over there, is this just going to be a one off, or the start of a new thing?
Cheers, thank you much. We will certainly collaborate again. It's always supportive to have musicians you can call on regardless. He is in Mansfield just 3 hrs north.

Ah - that may be a bit far…my personal record is 135 miles each way, but I worked about 12 miles from the studio, so I’d just drive in instead of vanpool.
