GK 1001rbii + GK neo 410 8ohm

Hey everyone! I have just purchased a new gk neo 410 8ohm cab and I am using it with a gk 1001rbii. I noticed a smell coming from the cab when I started playing. Is that normal? I haven’t had any issues with it. No drop in tone or any crackling sounds. My previous cab was purchased second hand so I am not sure if it is just an offgassing issue. Some insight would be greatly appreciated.

If it's not a burning smell, it's most likely just off gassing exacerbated by the air being pumped through the ports in the cab while you play. I bought an Orange CR120H guitar head earlier this year that reeked of glue for a month or two. It had been wrapped in plastic and double boxed most likely right after being built so all of the fumes from the tolex glue curing were trapped in the box. I just left it sitting out uncovered for a few weeks and it slowly dissipated.

I figured as much. I know what burning electronics smell like and I knew that wasn’t the issue. Thanks for the reply!
