So if you look at the MB200 there is an AUX in that is a 1/8 stereo ( I think ) in. Would it be poosible to use a 1/8 to 1/4 adapter to connect a preamp pedal to bypass the GK preamp and just use the amp section? It looks like you can to me, but not having much experience here....

I've seen the full schematic of the MB200, and it looks like it should be possible to use another preamp into the aux input. It comes late in the preamp board of the MB200, after the input stage and EQ but before the limiter. It's also after the volume control, so take care when trying it for the first time!
Choosing the right adaptor or cable might require some thought, as it's an 1/8" TRS socket with a pair of 50K resistors in series with the tip and ring contacts used to sum a stereo signal to mono. If you connect a mono jack, you'll short one of those 50K resistors to ground and attenuate the signal. This might be useful if your preamp has a very hot output, otherwise you might want to make up a cable with a stereo 1/8" on one end and and a mono 1/4" on the other.
