Gojira - Down tune or use 5 strings

We're starting a Gojira cover band. They play everything down tuned 1 full step. I play only one bass and it's a 5 string. I use it for another band as well, it's an Ibanez EHB and it basically stays in tune forever. So I tend to want to use the 5 strings I have, that's their purpose, I don't want to be changing the tuning all the time, using the low B is even heavier and should be fun for this, etc.
My question is however: are there riffs lurking out there that are too difficult if not down tuning? So far I haven't seen any but I'm only just started today...

Some of their riffs are in Drop C as well. I personally run my 5 string in D standard tuning with the B string tuned to A. I do not like the idea of tuning a 5 string up as it gets way too tight. This being said tuning like this requires a bass/string combo that can handle this tuning correctly. Your EHB can do this fine.

When I do gojira covers sometimes playing some of the muted chugs on the A fattens them up hugely but this is hard to describe without showing it.

Most important is getting very good stamina in your right hand to play gojira well. I can play a huge amount of their songs and it helped build my picking stamina and accuracy hugely. Also they really love big neck slides so this is another great skill. I am so hugely grateful for the skills that this band helped me nail it really has helped hugely in my playing more technical stuff.
