Good body colors for maple neck

What are some good colors for a maple neck? I’ve done a J to PJ bass conversion with an old Squier body and upgraded everything, but I want to paint the body now. I’m excluding black and red.
I’ve been leaning towards maybe a Shell Pink with a tortoise pickguard, or Lavender with a white pickguard. I’m just wanting something different, as I have blue, red, green, white and dark purple guitars.

I personally prefer maple on darker bodies for contrast. But, it definitely works with shell pink. Maybe something like fuschia? Honestly though, it will look good with either of those.

tort on pink makes me want to barf, black on pink could work, white for sure.
love both of these colors but matching something special on lavender is tough.
gold on both!

IMHO, literally any body color is good with a maple board. But I like maple boards.

As for aesthetic concerns, it's much more important what color pickguard you choose to tie it together (assuming your bass has a pickguard).

See I usually totally agree about the dark body and maple, but for some reason I’m being drawn towards light this time... Thanks for the input on the 2 colors!

Hmm I do like that white pickguard too...

Beauty of a white pearloid guard, is they’re cheap! If you hate it, switch to the tort. I personally would do pink, tort, and rosewood. Since it’s maple, I think the white pearl is awesome.

The new Buttercream looks pretty good with maple.
Might look even better with one of the half dozen different-color Spitfire Tort pickguards, like the Vintage Burgundy or Faded Orange.
