Good but small passive DI box?

So here's my conundrum: I'm in the market for my first DI box, but I want to mount it on the underside of a small pedal board. Not surprisingly, space is at a premium. I was all set to pick up a Radial JDI, but I noticed that its footprint is something like 5 x 3.5", and I don't believe I can get it to fit, unless I start getting fancy.

(And if I can't find a good size/quality compromise, I'm prepared to forget the idea of integrating it into the pedalboard and just keep the DI box external.)

Does anyone have a recommendation for a one channel, passive DI box that happens to be small in stature? Right now I'm looking at the Radial Stagebug, which might work, but even smaller would be ideal.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Radial Stagebug SB-2 is actually passive.

It's about the size of an average MXR pedal, just slightly taller.

I have one. Works great.

If you want a Jesnsen transformer option in a small/pretty package Pinstripe Pedals is worth a look. It’s kind of the boutique version of DI, but does look good and should sound perfect.

Bought one of these way back when I was 14. Now,I'm pushing 41 and it's STILL in use and sits on top of my amp. Never had an issue. Rodam TD100. You can more than likely find them on ebay - this site gives a description and the price is in Canadian dollars so, it would be (should be) cheaper in U.S. funds. Check out the Whirlwind IMP-2. This thing is great! Doesn’t add any color to your bass, just a good clean simple pedal. Real small too and about $60.

We use a Livewire PDI at the church I play at. It's completely passive, has a ground switch and a parallel output so it's really all you'd need out of a passive DI IMO. That said, every place I've ever played with a DI had phantom power so the board powered the DI for me. Might be worth looking into.

The Radial JDI is a great choice. They seem to be ubiquitous in every studio I work in. I use one as my main out for my rig. I consider it the P Bass of DI boxes.

Radial makes some good passive ones. Every studio I go into has a collection of them and as far as I recall most are passive like the pro DI and the re amping one. My favorite DI is active though. I gig with the Avalon u5.

Got several of these laying around at work.
I asked the boss to get some Whirlwind mic splitter.
He ordered these by mistake.

I haven't "tested" them yet.
Also just got a small mixer for work that has a couple of instrument inputs.
Will need to try both of these out soon.
