Great customer service from Godin

I bought a used Godin A5 fretless a little while back. As I was getting ready to adjust the truss rod I realized a standard Allen wrench does not fit, and it did not come with the original. I emailed them to see if I could could buy one from them. They got back to me within an hour, asked for my address and threw one in the mail for free. I know it's just an Allen wrench, but I have had a boutique bass company charge me $25 for their "special truss rod adjustment tool". Anyways, kudos to the good people at Godin.

I love Godin and all the affiliated companies. I've owned 3 of their instruments over the years - all were very solid and inexpensive instruments (I own 1 now - which I bought new, at a great price and it's a great instrument).

One feeling I always got when I held them and played them was something like "someone made this instrument who cared about it". None of their stuff feels mass produced to me. It all feels very personal - as in made by a person...for a person. Very organic feel to their stuff. Great! I can't explain it any other way. But I can say that I really enjoy their philosophy and their guitars, to me, exude a feeling like they understand what music is about. They're definitely doing something right - and your story proves it.
