Time to set the record straight. Steven Stills did not write CARRY ON, an 18 year old music prodigy by the name of Greg Reeves wrote Carry On at Neil Young's Topanga Canyon house in L.A. Nils Lofgren was present that day and assisted on the piano developing the melody. Greg Reeves conceived the lyrics and brought his creation to Stills and Crosby. Nils Lofgren confirmed this event years later when he joined Bruce Springsteens's E Street Band. Greg Reeves was in L.A. at the time Stills and Crosby were looking for a Bass player for Deja Vu. It is rumored that Greg Reeves played Bass on a major Temptations album at the age of 15.

He was living in L.A. in order to play Bass for Motown records on Rick James breakout album. He was approached by Steven Stills and David Crosby after they contacted Rick James to find his location and agreed to join the band for the upcoming DEJAVU album.

Any idea what gear he used on the album?
