Grooviest one-note bassline?

I don't know how they do it. It feels obvious when I play these types of lines when other people wrote them. If I try, I want to change notes so badly.

Maybe I just need to turn on some drum loops and limit myself to creating grooves with 1 note.
It's like the whole root, 3rd, 5th thing. I just don't get it, yet other players can write albums from just that. Pretty incredible.

I do think most of my issue is not having backing tracks playing.. I play mostly in silence. Just me and the bass and that can make is super hard to get creative with simple lines.

Dude YouTube has a load of backing tracks for bass practice in all different styles and keys. Even Spotify has some! It's great fun and you can easily lose and hour :)
