Gun, Gun Control, And Weapons Used For Violence Threads Are No Longer Permitted Here

After seeing nearly every pro/anti gun thread devolve into endless arguments, we have decided to no longer allow threads on guns here. Much like politics, these threads tend to only breed contention amongst the membership even if the initial intention of a thread was good. As these topics are not at all essential to a bass forum, we feel it is better to disallow them, as our goal is to bring a community together rather than push it apart. To be fair to both sides, all topics on guns/gun control are no longer permitted, including pro or anti control or ownership, NRA, "show your guns," etc. This includes all posts, replies, comments, and photos of weapons, not just threads.

In addition to this, discussion of using any item as a weapon in an interpersonal confrontation, either theoretical or actual, is not allowed. Ex: a thread on pocket knives would be permitted, but a thread on knife fighting would not.
