Hairline crack in the wood or lacquer?

Hi all,

Should I be worried about this? It doesn’t look like a crack through to the wood, and I’m hoping it’s just the lacquer which has a crack along it. I’ve seen about people wicking superglue into the crack, so I will do that, but I wanted to first get people’s opinions.

It was an oversight when I bought this Precision 51 this week, but at £350 it was a bargain.

From what I can see it’s the wood. It’s actually a “relatively common” Crack on headstocks. I’ve seen that mainly in pre cbs basses, except it starts from the tuner hole.

Yikes! I guess the way to fix this is wick some superglue or wood glue into the crack? I’m not sure how I’m going to open it up to make sure the glue gets in there...
