This is my first proper bass amp (ignoring the Fender rumble 15 I've had for 5 years). It arrived 2 hours ago, so is about as new as it will ever be!
I realise that I am running a 240W head (at 8ohm) into a 200W cab.
Settings are (home volume):
Preamp A: 4
Preamp B: 2.5
Compression: Off
LPF: -3
HPF: -3
Master: 1
EQ: Off
So it's very low. The problem is that one of the speakers is buzzing with every note. I've taken the grill off and tightened all the speaker screws. If I gently press one of the speakers (on the edge of the paper centre and the alu cone) so that it cannot move easily, the buzzing stops, and the other speaker rings out like I would expect it to.
If I turn on the EQ and take out ALL of the 30 and 64Hz it is better, but still there faintly in the background, and of course I'm not getting a particularly lovely tone then.
Any ideas?
