Hartke Club?

There used to be one I think. Somewhere along the line, I ended up with membership #295. Says so right in my sig. But doing a search, I can’t find that club. Maybe I was just delusional?

Anyway, guess I’ll take this opportunity to go through my amp settings. I’m using three basses:

Portamento fretless 6
Tobias KillerB walnut 6
Peavey Grind 4

My amp is the HA3500 - Transient Attack era. Great amp.
I have both the SS and tube pre knobs at about 6. Gives some edge when the bass is turned all the way up.
Compressor is around 4. Enough to chop off potentially damaging peaks when using the low B string, but that’s it. I like dynamics in my playing.
Low pass is at +3, hi pass zero. Makes up tone-wise for the lows lost to the compression.

On the EQ, all are flat except 250, 500 and 1000hz.

When I’m playing the KillerB, I turn its midrange control down. I then can use its 3-way switch (250, 500, 850hz) to select from three different tones instantly. And the EQ on the amp is engaged. Gives that bass a wide range of available tones, especially with its push-pull ‘slap’ contour available.

When playing the Portamento and the Peavey, the EQ on the amp is not engaged. So aside from the extra bit of low pass, amp EQ is flat.
