I'm in the market for a new 1x12 lightweight cab for gigging and I was wondering what are the general characteristics of these two series.
I only had experience with Hartke XL series 1x15 so I can't quite make a distinctive comparison on my own.
I love the 115XL, warm and big, surprisingly clear sounding.
I also own an Aggie SL112 which is also amazing but I'm using it primarily for studio applications.

I haven't tried any of the MarkBass stuff, I've only heard that their cabs in general can sound a bit sterile and honky in upper mids so I don't know how true or false that is, unfortunately I'm not currently in a position to try one.

I'm primarily based on R&B/neo-soul/pop genre, I'm using an Aguilar TH500, my basses are Sire V7 5-string Jazz bass and Warwick RB Corvette.

So anyone with experience with both would be really helpful!

Thanks! :)

Had the VX115 .. nice but too muddy.. went to XL110's then 12" Hydrives and have kept them the longest.. got another and two of them fit the bill nicely with an LH500 for an extremely loud rock band. and they weigh 30lbs each. I must say I used a bands MarkBass combo paired together with another one at a fundraiser gig and I was impressed.. but they were 15's.. cant seem to get away from the 15's but my body says you cant lug them around anymore.
Take a peek
