Have you ever traded a bass for another piece of gear?

I put my six string SX jazz up for trade on my local Facebook group, and I have a few people offering other gear for it. Has anyone ever done this?

Well, I have ten acres, but I'll stick to the dogs.

I was pretty specific that I wanted bass-related things, and I'm getting some interesting offers.

I had a guy wanting to make payments on an item, at only $30/month. It would have taken him over a year to pay it off, so I declined.
Only 6 months later he has a new Harley & now has a new $2k bass, so I'm pretty sure he would have stiffed me on those payments.

I've traded quite a few basses for other things, some not even music related. If it's something I think I can sell and it's worth more than the bass in question, I'm in.

See, that sounds super cool to me. I love trading gear, but it's always been instrument for instrument, amp for amp, etc.
