Hello,

I would kindly ask you to help me identify 3 basses based on their serial number. Otherwise can you tell me a contact where I can WRITE and ask about them ?

I'm considering buying all of them and would like to know more about it...

Thank you in advance for your kind help

1. Fender American Vintage 60s jazz bass - serial: V183692
2. Squier JV Japan Precision - serial: JV53179
3. Musicaman Stingray - serial: E25214

2.Contact Fender.
3.Contact Music Man.

For the Music Man, you can try asking on this thread:
Music Man Serial Number Database

You can try to get some info about the other two here:
http://www.gui****aterproject.org/fender.aspx
(apparently the forum software doesn't like that letter combination, guitar dater project dot org)
I plugged your other two serial numbers in here and the MIA Fender didn't come up with a year, the JV Squier said FujiGen 1984-87.

There is also some Fender dating info here:
U.S. Instruments Product Dating | Fender Support

I think you will have to remove the neck and check the date on the heel if you want to know when the American one was made.

Really ? Hmm I would never taught of that... C'mon....
Dear gebass6, if you're trying being funny ... well, you're not. I'm asking for help here and if you want to do that do it otherwise please I kindly ask to keep those unnecessary answers out of here.

Thanks to all the others for the kind info.

Not a joke.
It seems to me those are the first and most reliable sources to find any reliable info on those basses.
A simple Email or call to either one.
Where do you think AcridSaint got his EBMM info?

I don't think it's unreasonable to ask here for where to get more info on the basses. At least he has the serial numbers. It may be that the OP finds TB to be a reliable source of information on basses/bass gear and doesn't belong to other forums.

If you ever see the "is this a fake" threads, there are a ton of people here who seem to know as much or more about Fender bass provenance as Fender does.

This was the whole point of my question. Having the most info as possible. Thanks and I've also forwarded the issue to Fender and Musicman
