Help me with Rogue VB Wiring Please!!!

I am trying to fix this used violin bass and it currently makes no noise at all. It has some very ugly solder connections and unfortunately the wiring does not completely match any Hofner diagram I could find. One of the yellow wires on the second volume knob (right) were connected to the bridge pickup and the other wasn't connected to anything. Then the ground on the bottom of the first volume pot (left) was connected to the ground and the neck pickup. All the parts read correctly with a multimeter but still does not make any sound, could anybody give me a hint as to what might be wrong or direct me to a diagram?

The pickups work and the control plate was all grounded. I think the problem is on the connection between the rhythm/solo switch and the second volume pot terminal but no matter what I am prodding or connecting I can't seem to fix it

Neck pickup to left pot, bridge to the right makes sense. But where is the output to the jack?

Yes, thank you. That makes the wiring for the output jack and hot wires for the pickups clearer, although the dpdt wiring is different. I am going to try to separate the hot and ground of the output jack better because, as Jeff Siddall said, the end of the hot wire is shielded but the ground is bare so they could be touching somewhere.
