So here is what we got:

I currently have a VM Jazz 4 & 5, both the original Duncan designed series, both have been swapped into the guitar fetish ultra light bodies.

I purchased a 2nd VM Jazz 5 to do another built with but the bridge pickup sounds completely different on thins one (like a cheap IBZ... nasily/thin/high mid bell tone) and is very quiet compared to my other VM's bridge pickups. It is wired just the same as my other two basses, set up and pickup height is the same, and is the same duncan design pickup.

Is the pickup bad somehow or do I need to replace the pots? I've never had an issue like this before...

Thanks in advance for any and all advice and help!!!!!

Is the "nasily/thin/high mid bell tone" when BOTH pickups are turned up, or only when the bridge pickup is soloed? Because if you get a thin, trebly sound with both pickups on, that's a sign they're out-of-phase. Swap the hot and ground on one of the pickups and that should fix it.

unfortunately not, I get that sound no matter what unless I turn the rear all the way down and I solo the front pickup. Both pickups on hear it, rear pick up solo'ed hear it, rear pick up at 50% hear it...
