I am looking at picking up a Trace Elliot ELF head and one of the cabinets. This will be primarily for home use. However, I do play drums and I would want something that could keep up with medium level drum playing.
I currently have a Fender Rumble 500 v3. I like it, but it is sort of muddy. Yes, the tweeter is on, yes I have EQ'ed it. I am playing a Fender AM P, a Fender AM J and a Spector Euro.
My question is...2x8 or 1x10? I've played both quickly in busy stores, so they both sounded good. I just didn't get a feel for the differrences. Has anyone played both that could shed some light on this? Thanks!
