Hofner bass from 61

I have this Hofner bass supposedly from 61. Unoriginal tuning pegs and No guard otherwise original. Weird controls compared to 1961 Hofner i have seen. Anyone know anything?

The control panel is non-original and the headstock is incorrect. The logo should be vertical. Also the tailpiece appears to be to short.

Hofner 500/1 Violin Bass Cavern Beatle bass dating tips
On that site it shows a picture of the horisontal logo under 61-63

The Hofner logo on a 61 is vertical with the ornate inlay around it. Check out photos of McCartney's first 500/1 "Cavern Bass" a 1961 and you'll see. The script logo came in 62 along with the change in the position of the 2nd pickup back towards the bridge.
