Lee, I've listened to you playing the Warwick hollow body basses lately. Gorgeous tone! Prior to using the Warwick basses..over the years have you ever used any other hollow body basses in the studio?

I have a Hofner and a Washburn AB40 and an AB 45 fretless. They all have a distinct yet similar color to them. Not really that much different from my solid bodies. I just have loved the way the Warwick Starbass II plays and sounds. Using it as my live bass with Judith Owen on tour for it is the bass I used on the album.

Yes, I was listening to you with Judith Owen, playing live in rehearsal. Incredibly beautiful. The Warwick sounds great, maybe a bit pricey for me right now, I wish Warwick offered the stripped down import model in 34" scale. Of course, you do get what you pay for, and I don't doubt that those high end models are worth every penny. Thanks for the reply Lee, always good to hear you tell it like it is!

They do have a lower priced China import Starbass. I played one and it was pretty sweet. Worth checking out. Like my Mexican Fender Jazz bass. Cheaper and rocks great. I have used that on a number of gigs and specially when it might get into a situation where something might happen to it. Not like freaking over a vintage Jazz...........
