I know that there was a 1x15 cab shootout from like 2007, I was hoping that someone, somewhere can come up with an updated shootout of 1x15 Bass cabs. I'm thinking someone that owns a music store, works in a music store, 'has a lot of money to buy a bunch of 1x15 cabinets and a lot of time on their hand to review them. :smug: but seriously, I'm not sure how guys go about getting all the equipment when they do reviews, but I really would like to see an updated 1x15 Bass cab review. I'd like to see both Mesa cabs, the Orange Cab, Fender cab, Ampeg cab, Trace Elliot cab, Epiphani cab, Mark Bass cab. Hartke cab. Eden cab., and any other 1x15 Bass cab. that I may have not mentioned. ... I already know what the GK 1x15 cab sounds like, so I purposely didn't mention that one  ... well, one can hope, can't one?

Can't help ya with much...but the Fender Bassman Pro Neo 115 cab is a beauty! Lightweight, handles a ton of power (I had my Super Bassman running into just one the other night. ...gig got louder than expected and I had the 300w all tube Super Bassman breaking up at about 7/10 vol.. and the cab just sounded fantastic. I DID keep an ear out for it stressing at all. . But it just kept going and sounding superb all night. )
Sounds great with every amp I've tried it with too.
I can only compare it to other Bergantino cabs. .. and compared to the NV215... it's more yr typical 115 n horn -very nice tweeter too quite seamless and smooth. .but I don't use it much. The Berg. ..with its 6" mid driver definitely adds more mids and brings out the crunch of the tube amps drive. .if that's what you dial in. ..
The Bassman is smoother, but imo, tuned like a sealed cab - pretty tight down low. Unless you add some bass eq from yr amp, it can sound a little bottom shy. But, again. .. I like that. I can add it if I want it. ..and it handles it.

Go to Sweetwater and rent out their recording studio. Then wheel in the 115's! Might as well have an amp shootout while you're at it. Be sure to video and add the recorded tracks. Post to youtube as soon as you're done. Boffo!

I just got to play through a subway 15 and the 800+ head today at a local shop. It sounded great in the store. Didn't get a chance to A/B with any other cabs - but it left a favorable first impression.
That head and cab will impress anywhere you play it. The SW115 is one of the most remarkable 115's I've ever heard and I've been playing bass since the 1970's.

Just wanted to bump this. The Subway 115 is checking all the boxes for me (on paper) ... but still would love to see a more recent shootout with many of the newer, neo cabs.

The Subway 115 is still pretty much top of the heap. The only 15 I can think of that might be in a similar class is the Audiokinesis Hathor 1533.
