How can I search my own private messages?

I can search mine as follows:

Click on you name at the top right of the screen then click on the envelope. Then click "show all".

That shows what private messages there are in the Inbox, but it does not - so far as I have been able to find - bring up or enable the previous software's function of making them "searchable" as part of the site's content, such as can still be done with threads, classifieds, etc.

Even doing a test search on a term I know should bring up some of my PMs, with the drop-down search menu option "Everywhere" selected, it still does not find the term in PMs.

This seems to be something that has been lost to the upgrade (for the time being, at least).

It would be nice to search those as I have over 7 pages of PMs over my 20+ years of deals, questions and other notes.

I've kicked this over into the "Bug Report" section too. Hopefully someone can get it fixed.

Totally agree. This is a critical functionality. Hope it can be restored.

I noticed you can filter by person sending/receiving which makes the history a bit more manageable.

UPDATE! I just noticed that when I search a term with the "where to search" selector set to "Everywhere," the results now come back with my own PM content included!

Oh wow, and if you are in the message list when you searches, it actually searches only the messages!
