Sooo...I have a 2015 Martin BCPA acoustic bass that I previously sold here on TB. While in transit to the buyer, the fine folks at UPS apparently saw fit to drop from a considerable height, thus cracking the top. I've had it professionally repaired and need to get rid of it (I've since replaced it with a custom Carvin AC40 that I just love). So the Martin is taking up space- it needs to go.

My question is "What does a cracked/repaired top do to the value? I know it's not worth what it was previously but....where do I set the price? I don't want to give it away but likewise want to be realistic with a potential buyer.

Any insight/input greatly appreciated.

They’ve held their price over the years but IME a knowledgeable player will pay ground 1/2 price of the market value depending on the instrument and those that just see a repair job will want it at 1/2 that again.
Look at Reverb’s selling history to get a ballpark number.
