Just wanted to share this in case it might help someone else:
Whenever I've searched Google for pictures that led to a TB thread, I would only see the preview of the picture in the Google search results, but when I followed the link to TB, I wouldn't see any images.
It turns out that Google is showing a cached version of the page. But once on the TB page, you can click on one of the posts' direct links (e.g. #1) which will force taking you to TB, where the images will then appear.
