How to see ONLY the latest post in a thread

I’m totally flummoxed here. I want to be able to view the newest post in a thread, not every unread post in those threads. In other words, the subject line of a thread should only appear ONCE in the list and should be linked to the latest post.

I don’t understand why the list view looks different depending on where I am in the forum. I see different filter options dependingon where I am.

If I cannot get past this problem, TB is useless to me.

Are you clicking on the part of the thread that has the timer on it since the last post?

See my photo below for the highlighter. If you click on the actual time since last post, it should take you directly to most recent post for that thread. If that’s not working then a bug report is needed. It works on mobile at least.

I think maybe he's saying on the home page or forums pages, the activity feed is showing individual posts instead of updated threads, so you see a lot of duplicate line items. Clicking on one takes you to that post, or sometimes to your latest unread. I'd agree that the current activity feed is messy and not compact enough. I'm hoping they make it a little easier to navigate over time.
