Howard Ulyate: Customer Service!

This won't be a shock to some of you, but I just dealt with Howard Ulyate for some new pickups, and he was incredible!

I've heard other basses with his pickups, and some friends play them, too, so I thought I'd give him a try. I wrote him regarding a somewhat unusual, double-P fretless I have (purchased here!), and asked, "What do ya think?" He wrote back shortly, and said, "Sure, I'll get started! Here's the price." I said, "OK," and in no time, and without me even paying a dime yet, he wound them up, sent me a pic, and said, "Ready!" I paid him, and they were shipped the same day -- they'll arrive tomorrow, so next I'll have to review them! :)

So: great guy, excellent service!

Unfortunately, my experience so far isn’t a happy one. Sent pickups in for repair. Repaired one but the other was too far gone. He said he could make me a new one. I said great, let’s do it. That was 9 months ago. I’ve sent multiple emails with no response.
Disappointing.

And now, we’re left wondering if the OP actually received his pickups and whether or not he was happy with them.
