Humidity Woes

Living in Alabama I've gotten tired of fighting the humid summers and and dry indoor air in the winter.
Can anybody suggest any composite or carbon fiber bass guitars, solid body or acoustic,
that won't break the bank?

I top out at about $1500 and that is out the door with shipping and taxes included.
I hadn't considered roasted maple or an aluminum neck. I didn't even know they made aluminum neck guitars.
Thanks.

Check out the Aluminum Neck Club thread in this here forum.
There’re more than a few builders of Fender compatible bolt-on aluminum necks. They usually run around $800 new. Definitely the more affordable way to go IMO

There's a Stingray clone with graphite neck in the classifieds right now for cheap.
If you deal with a 10 lb. instrument this would be my recommendation.
