I bought a SR500 body.. What pickups would be awesome?

So I just purchased a SR500 body with nothing on it except for the bridge.

I will bring it to my go to luthier and have him build me a great bass neck. I'm still debating either going full rosewood, or maple/rosewood, and either 4 a side tuners or 2/2.. but that's not the questions.

I'm looking for a nice set of soapbar pickups that are reasonably priced, and go to go full passive (without a pre-amp). Also would like them to be super awesome played with a pick. What pickups would you recommend?

Hope you don't mind me highlighting the main things I'm looking for. I don't want to be a douche, just want to be clear. Thanks for your help!

Nordstrand w/o a doubt, which is what Ibanez are putting in the Premium Soundgears right now.
The Big Singles in my SR1800E sounded really great with a pick & stainless steel strings!

You should be able to find a pre-owned neck to fit it.
2x2 has too many advantages over a 4-inline headstock, IME.

Thanks! I'm listening to some demos of the nordstrand soapbar pickups, but men, that's a tough choice. Really liked the DC and the big rig and the big singles.

I will keep my eyes open for a pre owned neck, but in Europe the market is I guess a little limited with some things

One thing the Dual-Coils or Big-Rigs can give you that the Big-Singles or Big-Split can't is series/parallel.
However, they don't have the top-end bite of a Big-Single or even a Big-Split.

Given that you want to keep it passive, you will have some holes to fill. What better way than with series/parallel switches?
Looking at the "tone" profiles on their website, I'd probably go with the Big-Rigs.

add:
on second thought, you could put in 3-position switches that do series/single/parallel:

This diagram says it's for Dual-Coils, but should work exactly the same for Big-Rigs.
