Double Bass I make strange music

Yeah, I really must face it.....my music is weird! You may not get it at all, or some of you might....but these two examples happened today. They are not songs, more like extended (or shorter) instrumental jams because they do not contain any real musical structure...and the first one has some heavy chorus on the bass. I don't really know what you call this music. Anyone like to chime in and make a comment or say hello, feel free. Would love to hear from you!

I compose music also. I just joined this forum soley to say what a great player and a great composer you are.
I think of music in terms of shapes and places so your work reminds me of Varese and Gershwin - full of movement and life. Really good.

There is a long tradition of free improvisation going back to Tristano in the '50s. Free jazz is also related, but different. Check out Sun Ra, Albert Ayler, Derek Bailey, Cecil Taylor, Paul Bley, Peter Kowald, Evan Parker, Barry Guy to name a few and cast a wide net. Good work. Keep going!
