I played in the orchestra for The Warren Haynes Band this past weekend in Dayton and Cincinnati. I had a chance to speak with both Warren and his bass player, Kevin Scott. Both are super nice guys, really down to earth and gracious. And they are monsters to boot. If you haven't seen them, go!

I met Warren Haynes and Kevin Scott

I cannot recall the amount of people I've seen that have met Warren and can't speak enough about just how nice a guy he is.
I look for opportunities to catch them when I can. I’ve seen Gov’t Mule three times through the years; twice with Alan Woody and once with Jorgen Carlsson. It was a great show every time.
Kevin is from the little town in alabama where I reside. He’s a real good dude.

I am originally from Enterprise and grew up playing in the " Wiregrass!" I am also very good friends with Kevin and his dad, David Adkins. Small world!

Also ran in to Kevin recently, very kind individual. We spoke to him at length on our yet to be released podcast.
Decades ago, I was a house FOH guy at a 2500 cap club. Warren was the band that night, I didn't know who he was... A guy showed up and set up the guitar rig, introducing himself as "Warren". I'm dumb, so I never put two and two together!
On a plus note, he brought the Allman's FOH mixer, who I got to work with all night long.
GREAT people all around. I can say that seeing about 50% divas, metal to country to folk, passing through our room every week.

I know David and Kevin but i guess not well and got to play a gig with David a couple of years ago. I was on bari sax, not bass and I was completely star struck! I bet we know a lot of the same people.
