Now, I see that the email was sent in error. I have no clue when my membership was actually going to expire. Is the system smart enough to figure it all out and just add my renewal onto the end of my existing membership?

Thanks

Obviously not. Otherwise you wouldn't have gotten an email at the wrong time. I would also be worried that it wasn't even from Talkbass but instead may have been a phishing email.

It was real, I looked back at my PayPal and I last updated my membership in July 2021.
Glad to hear that. As a Hard-fast rule I never follow links in emails. Just always go to the trusted web site as you always do and go to your account upgrades/settings page.

Sorry for the unsolicited advice but Phishing has just gotten so very out of hand. Ie; Trust wallet scams. I have reported them to [email protected] as instructed/recommended but they just keep coming. As they say: I am only paranoid because everyone is out to get me.:D

I'm very cautious. I did not and do not follow links in emails. I just went directly to TB and updated my membership without doing any research re- when my membership expires. Then I get a group email saying there was an error.

Early on in the pandemic, I was sitting in my wife's office doing a jigsaw puzzle and I looked up just as she clicked an unsolicited email link. So, unlike her. We spent the next hour or so changing our passwords on every site that contained any banking or credit card information. Ugh.

Thanks for the help and advice.
