Ibanez BTB vs. Schecter Stiletto, or maybe a L2500 trib...

In my quest for a first 5 string bassguitar, I have now stumbeled upon these two instruments on a national salespage (Norway).

Schecter Stiletto Studio 5. Neck-through, EMG hz pu's, 3 band eq

Ibanez BTB (I think it's a 555). Bolt- on, Bartolini pu's 3 band eq With mid frequency adjustement.

They both appear to be in decent shape, and at the same asking price. (about $450)
They ar both about 3 hours drive away (in partially differnt directions), so trying out both would mean a good days round trip. There are no local stores in my area eighter that might have anything remotely similar, so therefore i'm asking the opinion of the highly qualified members of this forum.

My current bass is a Squier JV-series Jazz bass. I am aware of that these two i'm considering are quite different from the JB, but thats part of the point for me (versitality)

The Schecter neck with be narrower than the BTB. The Ibanez will be 19mm spacing at the bridge. That may be an advantage or disadvantage depending on your comfort zone. I prefer wider spacing.

The mid frequency control is the secret sauce of the BTB, allowing it to plow through any mix.

The pickups in that exact model of BTB were a little clean for my taste, but the bass was well made and the mid frequency control allowed me to dial in some heft to the tone.

For me it would be the BTB.

BTB has a much wider neck for sure and has quite a bit of heft to it. I love the Studio's thin neck, sleeker body and lighter. In terms of sound- the BTB555 is a low mid-level model, if it was the BTB745, I would say it would be a fairer comparison in terms of quality. as it is now, the Schecter Studio 5 is a better bass than the BTB555 in terms of overall quality for your money. In terms of sound, it's all a matter of preference, still would give the nod to the Schecter.

Hello again, folks.
Another contender just entered the scene. How would you rate a G&L Tribute L2500 against these two other basses? It will set me back about $200 more (about 650), but looks nice (blue burst) and I'm rather tempted.

Well. While i'm lingering and looking at classifieds through the summer, a couple of other basses have cought my interest. I hope some of you people out there can share your thoughts on the following basses, selling for about 600$ at the moment.
Ibanez ATK 805
Ibanez srff 805
Yamaha trb 1005
Oh, and the trib. L2500 is still in the loop as well...
I am trying to make my own opinion from what I have been reading in here, but all of these instruments seem to get a lot of love on the forum, so I'm wondering if it's just the fan club writing, or are they generally as good as it seems?
I'm hoping to be able to get a 5 string within a year or so, but I have limited oportunity to try the many different models out there, and will probably have to buy sight unseen.
Any input is wellcome.

Occasionally I find other basses I’m interested in by chance, but when I’m looking for something specific, it’s always G&L.
