I'm quite interested in giving these strings a try, however I do not want to try them on my SR500. I want to try them out on another bass instead. That's a "Cruzer CSR-20" bass and I simply wonder if these Ibanez bass strings are actually meant to be strung on Ibanez basses only. Are they Ibanez bass only or do they work on all sorts of basses?

As far as I can tell that Cruzer bass of yours should have a 34" scale and the Ibanez strings are described as "long scale" which should usually match exactly that scale length. It looks to me like the Cruzer has a similar head plate design as many Ibanez basses with their two left and two right tuning peg configuration. I don't see a reason why these strings wouldn't fit your Cruzer bass.

Ώρα να εκπλαγείς για 2η φορά απόψε! ;) As long as the scale matches the one of your bass, i don't see why they can't be used in any bass, regardless of who makes them. In any case, after you've tried them for a while, make sure to post your impression of them in the relevant section.

Will do, I'm curious to see if the coating will do its work despite the seat costing less than 30 euros.

Concerning fit: the strings should fit a variety of basses, not just Ibanez. Many Ibanez basses are made to use D'Addario Long Scale strings as OEM, including the two I own. So this is an extrapolation, but I think it is a valid extrapolation: the Ibanez strings should fit other manaufacturer's long scale basses on which D'Addario Long Scale strings fit.

Είμαστε παντού ... :ninja:

I searched for these Ibanez strings and found one shop that states they are made in China: Ibanez IEBS4C - 17 € - Muziker DE (It's German but Google translation says 'Herstellt in China' means 'made in China'.)
I think Elixir strings are wound in the USA and then coated with polymer and packaged in China.
So these Ibanez strings are probably cheaper Chinese strings which are then coated in the same Chinese facility as the US made Elixir strings. Therefore they cost only half the price.
