Ibanez SR300EB vs Yamaha TRBX174

Hello everyone,
I would like if you could help me to pick one of these basses I like and found really nice.
I'm a beginner so I don't know which is better so I'm looking for an advice here.
These are the basses:
1. Ibanez SR300EB
2. Yamaha TRBX174
(I'm a student so I dont have a big budged, which is 250€)
I don't know if it matters but I would like to play metal/rock.

I think you’ll be fine with either. Two different bass guitars though, Ibanez is active (preamp) I believe, it’s light, balances well and has a jazz style neck meaning on the thin and narrow side. The Yamaha is also a very nice and somewhat underrated, has a thicker wider neck and it’s passive. I actually would have a tough time between the two but I personally prefer a thinner neck, I own the SR500 and also have the 174. I suggest you play them both and see how they feel and sound to you.
