This is a few years old but what a lovely modest person and what a fantastic role model for young people starting out on bass.

An insightful interview by a capable interviewer providing a revealing look into a phenomenally talented bassist. Particularly interesting was how Tal learned to 'absorb the instincts' of people with whom she played like Prince, Jeff and Herbie. Hers seemed like a meteoric rise over an exceedingly brief time period. She addresses this squarely. Her on-stage presence was at once commanding and jarringly childlike, especially when she played with The Allman Brothers Band. Her disciplined hand positioning and technique always impressed me. She is articulate and seemingly beyond her years in terms of poise and experience.

Yes Aussies love to laugh at themselves. Although a multi-cultural community which encourages diversity it has a progressive stance on issues like education, healthcare, gun control, and same-sex marriage. Yet we are able to take the pi55 out of ourselves and see the funny in everything.
