I use heavy gauge GHS boomers and the way I have my amp and pedals set up it gives me a deep, fat tone that I can only compare it to a whale fart. It's an awesome tone, in my very humble opinion.
I'd say a bobcat someone spilled a bucket of paint over.

My Streamer would be like a Mountain Lion. Very fast and aggressive.

I'd compare my Spector NS4-cr to a wolf. It can put out some really aggressive growls, howl/sing beautifully and produce deep, low smooth tones as well as high-pitches ones. It can manage on it's own but functions better in a pack! 
My basses sleep most of the day, so I guess thery are like cats.
The Hondo is like a black cat that is fast, sleek, muscular, and with razor sharp claws.
