I have a yamaha dgx-640 keyboard that I'd like to use through my backup svt4pro. is the input on the amp able to handle to headphone out signal from the keyboard or is it too hot? I don't want to overwhelm the amp's input.

It will be just fine into a 4 Pro, and will likely sound amazing. Turn your keyboard all the way up and bring the gain on the amp up slowly at first, then when you hear it distort, back off the gain till it cleans up. Keep your master down a bit while doing that because the 4 Pro is a very powerful amp, as you know. If for some strange reason you have a problem with clipping, you can use the -15db input or turn the volume down on your keyboard.

As @JimmyM said, it will work great. You also might want to check the keyboard for a line out output. You can plug that into the SVT as well.
As word of caution, start a low volume and work your way up. Your cab will thank you...

Good word of caution for sure! I looked that keyboard up, and it has a single 1/4" jack labeled "Phones/Output." So it does double duty.
