Is this a Digitech Bass Whammy?

This is a very brief, bass-only clip of the Beastie Boys song Gratitude, recorded in 1992.

I love the pitch-bending effect - is it a Digitech Bass Whammy? If not, do you know what it is?

(I did do some Googling, but couldn't find an answer about the pitch shift - the fuzz is a Univox Super-Fuzz)

i don´t think this was done with a pedal ... maybe string- or neck bending?

Blackcat Super Fuzz was used on the recording, has a two stage octave doubling circuit.
Modeled after the 70s Univox Superfuzz.

Live the DNA Analogic Bass Dragger was used.

Sound like he's just bending, sliding and possibly backing the tuner off then bringing it back to pitch on that one part.
