Is this a good combination ? warwick + bugera

Hello, I'm looking into buying a new rig and came across what looks to me like a decent amp/cab, but as I'm not exactly well versed in all the technical stuff I'd really like someones opinion on whether or not I'm buying something that is actually good/works well together, or if it only looks like it

What I've been looking at is the Warwick LWA 500 amp head with Bugera BN410TS cab. And what i'm hoping for is that I'll finally get a high quality sound out of my bass at a decent price, without overloading or setting anything on fire. I'd also like to have the option of buying a second of the same cab to add to the rig and I think this should be possible with this setup ?

Thanks in advance :)

Bugera cabs are the cheapest of the cheap. Proceed from there. They are made of MDF, which makes them VERY heavy, and more importantly, nowhere near as strong. A glued and stapled joint on MDF will not handle shock very well, and a drop that would leave a superior cabinet working fine will cause a Bugera to self destruct. Cabs DO fall off loading docks, roll off your front stoop, and all sorts of other unforeseen things that you do need to factor in.
Even if you don't use professional stage hands (bless them, but they can destroy anything), the most common reason to drop a cabinet is getting to the bottom of a loading ramp, the cab falls on it's side. Boom, an MDF cab comes apart.

I would be spending more money on the cab - it means more than the head. What style of music, what are your needs (what kind of gigs, do you have PA support, or is your bass amp doing all the lifting), and most important, what is your budget?

Also, how is your back? There are a lot of bassists who have changed to light weight cabinets, which means if you look, you can probably find a good, but heavy, used 410 for a good price.

Nope, it's made from plywood.

That's a recent development, I sold about a hundred of them, and they were all MDF. I left retail just a few years ago, but things could be different now. They used to come apart regularly.

Hi everybody!

I bought the bn410ts a few weeks ago and I have only good things to say about it.

Build quality is great - the surface coating is going to get scratched and is prone to collect marks but that's the last thing I care about (i know that's not the case for other people).

Sound: It sounds punchy - tight and reproduces everything really nice. (there's no linear cab - no discussion).
Low B comes out great (TRB6p Modulus Quantum6 TRB JP2 Cort A5 with US-made MK5 PUs).

Loudness - boy that thing can go loud - really loud. I'm driving it with a Crest CPX 2600 and if I want to our FOH engineer can't distinguish if the bass comes from the P.A. or the cab (mind You I'm talking about an L-Acoustics Kara line array and we play loud - (13 piece band)).

To keep things clear:

My big rig is an Eden US-made 410&210 xlt stack and my favorite cabs (provided by the backline companies) are the EBS 410 (both neo and proline) and the GK-410 RBH.

But that sweet little (well it's not a small cab, neither a light one but manageable especially compared to my 410xlt) Cab is an outstanding cab and a real steal for the money. I've paid 350 euros.

Highly recommended!
