Is this a real ‘68 Gibson eb-3?

Electric Bass, Gibson EB-3, Vintage, Mint Condition

Not affiliated. Just comparing the pictures of this to other ‘68 eb-3’s don’t seem to match up. I’m not very familiar with Gibson basses, but this one seemed cool. What do you think?

That's a post-72 Gibson EB-3. It does look original and proper for that era. Mudbucker in the middle of the body is a dead giveaway.

Gibson re-used the same batch of serial numbers several times before 1976, and that's where the confusion comes from. One has to have a basic idea of what they're looking at before they can even attempt to dive in the entire serial number nonsense.

It has a 2 point bridge. Gibson transitioned to 3 point mid 73. I'd say 72-73
