I have a line on this bass and I'm not really familiar with it.

The seller says he has had it since the 90s.

If you don’t buy it send a link for it my way

90’s Epi’s beat the things they’re building now, plus that looks like it is in great shape

The story on it is a guy that worked for Gibson was part of QC staff and told me that employees were allowed to buy a couple of instruments a year at a decent discount.

He said it's stamped used on the back of headstock. He also said that he only used it in his home studio a couple of times and has not played it for years.

I don't think the case is an Epiphone case.

The truss rod cover looks like it was installed crooked. I'm just going by the photo. Perhaps that's why it was stamped used.

He is supposed to send me a photo of the back of the headstock. He doesn't think there is a country of origin on it, but said at the time there were two or three factories that made them if he remembered correctly.

I'm going to look at it Sunday and I'm going to ask him if I can take the truss rod cover off and make sure the truss rod is okay.

So I will know more about it Sunday evening. He's selling it at a no-brainer price, assuming everything is straight on it besides any cosmetic stuff.

I own an Epiphone Les Paul standard bass. Love it, the pickups and their placement deliver great mid range punch, not deep, round bass tone, so I don't find it all that versatile, but what it does, it does exceptionally well. Pretty comfortable, but has some neck dive, but a good strap and anchoring with your right forearm helps a ton. They are beautiful and built great. That is a great price.
