I was at a pawn Shop and found this ver very cheap, like 100 USD (1,800 mexican pesos)
I know it's not a fender, just a decal, but in another group several people told me it might be a Hondo 80's or 70's p bass, just with another neck
I like the battered and beaten style that it has and if it actually is a 80's bass I would like to have it, for a future project

Could be a Hondo or Epiphone body. Looks like a cheap aftermarket neck that someone installed an aluminum nut on.

The string through feature doesn't necessarily indicate it wasn't a cheap bass. The Epiphone Accu-bass was string through IIRC.

Hola Juan :)

I was at a pawn Shop and found this ver very cheap, like 100 USD

I like the battered and beaten style that it has

I like it too but...

Don' t tell anybody! :D

Haggle amigo, haggle!!!!

I hope these are enough arguments to get you a better price! ;)

1) Whatever it was,it was never a highpriced bass! And you can get a cheap new one for $100!

2) The neck was replaced, because the original neck was crap!

3) And the replacement is a no name aftermarket with a fake! illegal Fender logo.

4) It has black water stains (was probably stocked in a basement)

5) It has a lot of fret wear and it is in an unplayable condition. That neck is toast and has to be replaced.

6) The pickup polepieces have disappeared.

7) And someone did a horrible paint job on that pickup covers.

8) The body needs a complete refinish too!

Never say anything good! :D

Offer 900 pesos and have fun! :hyper::hyper::hyper:

And now go and get it!

may the bass be with you

Whatever it is, that's a nice neck. Maple fb, skunk stripe, adjusts at the heel, and decent tuners. Those tuners were typical on many of the Japanese lawsuit basses. The neck is probably the best part of the bass. I had an old Hondo. It had a rectangular part cut out of the body at the neck heel to adjust a special truss that stuck out into the body.
