Is this Stingray 5 a fake?

Was looking to buy a 5 string and I fancied this Music Man Stingray 5. Looked up the serial number and a completely different bass showed up. I thought it could be an 80's model since it was mentioned that those are too old to show up in the serial number database. Weird battery cover too. Seller did disclose that the electronics and pups have been switched, so I'm not too worried there. Still, I can't really tell. Any ideas about this?

That bridge looks like a Sterling By Music Man type bridge to me... possibly the asian made bass..wait for the MM Stingray experts to check it out.

That’s an unlicensed “Ali express” knockoff and probably a piece of junk

Nothing about that says it's an actual EBMM. Looks like a cheap Asian knockoff. If you can play it first and determine it's relatively not garbage quality, maybe it's worth $200.

There is so much wrong with that bass I don't even know where to begin. The pickguard, the knobs, even the headstock isn't quite right. Very very bad copy.
